Pink Coconut - Grandma Gossard (our dad’s mom) used to make a delicious coconut cake that she would take to the PTA dances during World War II. To make it extra special she would dye the icing a light pink. Today we make grandma’s recipe and we think you will love it.

Mocha Java-  Coffee is an excellent accent to chocolate.  Our mocha java cake combines both chocolate & coffee with a hint of cinnamon.  The finishing touch our mocha frosting, a light chocolate frosting with a coffee kick.

Red Velvet – Beautiful & rich chocolate sour cream cake frosted with our made from scratch cream cheese icing.  This cake is a favorite of Cate’s daughter Alyssa.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake -This cake is only available as a sheet cake.  Our delicious butter cake, made with pineapple juice then poured onto a layer of butter, brown sugar, pineapple & cherries.  Then we bake until golden brown, flip out of the pan for a mouth watering pineapple upside down cake!

Banana Cream Cake

Banana Cream Cake – This is one of my favorite cakes.  Our delicious buttery banana cake frosted in whipped creme with banana pudding on top and between the layers then sprinkled with crushed graham cracker crumbs.

Boston Cream Pie- Our moist  butter cake filled with vanilla mousse, covered in rich chocolate frosting & topped with ganache

Butter Rum Cake-Our delicious butter cake soaked in our secret rum sauce, iced with whipped creme & topped with rich chocolate ganache

Capuccino Cake- Mocha  cake with whipped creme between the layers, covered in our wonderful mocha icing & topped with chocolate ganache.  If you like coffee  & chocolate you will love this dessert!

Carrot – The first time I had this cake we were staying with my aunt Carol the summer I turned twelve.  I couldn’t believe that a cake made with a vegetable could taste this darn good!  Of course covering it with that delicious cream cheese frosting didn’t hurt.  Our made from scratch cake, is full of shredded carrots & toasted pecans then iced with our cream cheese icing.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cake

Chocolate Covered Cherry- This cake is a close cousin to the black forrest cake… Rich chocolate icing replaces the whipped creme icing for an exceptionally decadent dessert.

Chocolate 4-Ever- This cake is truely a chocoholics favorite cake!  It combines our chocolate cake with chocolate chips baked into it.  Then we cover the cake with chocolate frosting and top it with chocolate ganache.  This cake defines what a decadent dessert should be.

Chocolate Moose Cake – Chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse, covered in whipped creme and topped with chocolate ganache.  Layering different chocolates make this cake a unique dessert experience!

Chocolate Rum Cake – This cake is our own version of rum cake.   Ours is made with moist chocolate cake soaked in our sweet rum sauce, covered in whipped creme & topped with chocolate ganache.  Real dark rum, gives this cake a distinctive flavor.

German Chocolate- Double layer chocolate cake torted and filled with gooey, made from scratch, German chocolate frosting.  For a finishing touch this cake is iced with chocolate frosting then topped with more coconut, pecan frosting.

Italian Cream Cake – Rich buttermilk, coconut, pecan cake,  iced with our cream cheese frosting that has coconut and toasted pecans stirred in.

Italian Fudge Cake- The best of both worlds… our scrumptious Italian cake made with chocolate butter milk cake. A chocolate twist on a traditional favorite

Kahlua & Cream Cake- This cake was created for our mother’s 60th birthday.  I combines two of her favorite drinks, coffee & Kahlua.  We took our mocha  cake soaked in Kahlua, then covered in whipped creme & topped with chocolate ganache.

Mississippi Mud Cake- Chocolate cake covered in chocolate frosting with marshmallow creme piled on top & between the layers then generously sprinkled with toasted pecans & drizzled in chocolate ganache.

Pina Colada Cake- Coconut cake soaked in sweet coconut rum sauce, layere with crushed pineapple, covered in whipped creme and topped with toasted coconut and a cherry.  Sure to be a summertime favorite!

S’more  Cake – This cake was inspiration for this cake is all of the summer time campers who roast marshmallows on sticks!  Chocolate cake filled with marshmallow cream and graham crackers, covered in chocolate buttercream, then topped with more marshmallow cream and graham crackers then drizzled with chocolate ganache.  

White Queen Cake - I made this cake for my daughter Alyssa’s eighth grade graduation luncheon.  We wanted something both light and decadent.  It was a perfect choice.  White cake filled with vanilla mousse, covered in whipped cream then topped with white ganache, simply delicious!

Cheesecakes

Cheesecake -  This recipe has been in our family for over 60 years.  Grandma Mason (our mother’s mom) baked this cheese cake only on special occasions.  A traditional New York style cheese cake that is rich, creamy and delicious.   Once you try it no other will do.
